We're buying a house!

We're buying a house! My boyfriend and I are taking the plunge into home ownership - and are so excited and nervous. I've become consumed with house hunting, from window shopping online, to site visits and researching every little thing to no end. We've been learning so much and I want to share with YOU, my lovely readers. Which is why next week I'll be starting a series "How to Buy a House" where I'll tell you a bit about our journey and what has worked for us. And please, if you have any tips for us please share in the comments.

Oh wow, how exciting! I wish you all the luck in your relationship and in your house-hunting. I recommend applying for a home or property loan to help your budget breathe. Who knows, it might make your dream house more affordable!

Congratulations and good luck! I second Fernando’s suggestion. As first-time homeowners, getting a loan will definitely ease up payments on the house. It could also teach you a lot about managing expenses so that you have everything you need and still have savings while paying for the house.

So, is it safe to say that you and your boyfriend are planning to settle down? If there’s anything that I can advise you it’s to determine first what kind of house you want. Also, have a definite budget. Finally, you can always hire the services of real estate brokers to help you out with house hunting.
