It may not be the sexiest, prettiest item, but I've been obsessing over finding the perfect welcome mat. We're getting very close to our house looking done - from the outside - and I want to make sure the finishing touches are there. I do not want a funny (dare I say tacky) doormat, or anything too witty. I want something with good lines, but not boring - after all this is really the first impression of someone's home right? So below are my winners - funny thing is that most of them are from Ikea - and like super cheap. I paused on a few from Restoration Hardware - but didn't know if the monogrammed route was right for us (it felt stuffy). What do you think? Have you ever put so much thought into such a mundane item?
